Dr. Woo Young Chang did a great job, and so did the two other doctors he referred me to for the other parts of the process. All of my doctors were responsive and I appreciate their excellent work. The full mouth reconstruction that Dr. Chang has performed on me has exceeded all of my expectations, and no words can fully describe how much his highly skillful work has improved the quality of my life.Before I was referred to him I consulted many dentists because my grinding had deteriorated my teeth to the point where I was starting to lose them and incurring infections. Yet I could not find a dentist that I was comfortable with seeing for this work, because none of them seemed confident in their ability to develop an effective treatment plan for such an elaborate set of issues. After I was referred to Dr Chang, I knew from the very first visit that I was fortunate to find him and that I wanted him to do the work. He immediately took a very detailed assessment of what needed to be done and developed a very comprehensive treatment plan with an unwavering sense of commitment to fully resolving all of my issues. He also addressed all of my questions very professionally, and right away I was confident in his ability.His work has even exceeded my expectations.While I knew that my treatment plan would be an elaborate process that would take many months, it hasn’t seemed daunting because at each stage Dr. Chang has been precise in his approach and in telling me what he was doing next. I have seen Dr. Kye three times now and could not be happier. She is professional and skilled. I have had decaying materials removed and cavities filled in two teeth and one tooth extraction. Everything went smoothly with each treatment. I am particularly impressed by her injection of the local anesthetic, which is the least painful injection I have experienced, and this in turn has altered my attitude toward dental appointments in ways I had not expected (namely for the better). Dr. Kye also has excellent communication skills, explaining the diagnosis and the overall procedures as well as what to expect next at each key step and after you get home. The scheduling at this office is also very well organized and I have not had to wait at any of my three visits. Overall, a very positive experience. My husband, who has also recently started seeing Dr. Kye, agrees. I have been a patient of Dr. Rothkopf for many years and this is a wonderful dental practice - made even better with the addition of Drs. Chang and Kye. Thanks to COVID, I have been clenching and grinding my teeth for two plus years and ended up having to see Dr. Kye for an emergency crown on a cracked tooth. I had numerous old metal fillings replaced and was fitted for a new night guard. Dr. Kye is wonderful at explaining what is going on with your teeth and gums and making treatment recommendations. She keeps you informed and comfortable during your procedures. She's skillful, gentle and really cares about her patients. The office is modernizing, and has the latest technology (and moves to a new space this spring). Everyone who works there from the dentists, receptionists, hygienists and assistants are warm, welcoming and consummate professionals. Scheduling and billing are a breeze, and they are really thoughtful about making sure that I have no surprises about the length of a visit or its cost. More

Dr.Chang did my root canal yesterday and I was in and out. He is so efficient and he tells you what he's doing while he's in your mouth... which was nice. The staff is professional and friendly. The office is clean ... I even saw an air purifier. I was impressed. I'm already planning to return for my permanent restoration. If you're looking for an endodontist, look no further!!! More

Went for a second opinion with Dr Rothkopf and he said it wasn't needed - just a bit of clean up of very old fillings. Huge savings but also .... who wants crowns! I’ve tried couple of other dentists close to home in Va but, they were just there to make money, not fix my teeth. Dr. Rothkopf is very sweet, patient and a great dentist. He actually cares about his patient’ teeth rather than making money. His staff is excellent, very welcoming, professional yet funny. I love Nancy, Gail, Tammy and (hygienist) Sue. That team has been together for many years, that is another plus. I am so happy that my dad took me to Dr. Rothkopf at early age, or else I wouldn’t have any teeth now.My root canals, crowns, fillings that were done by Dr. Rothkopf are still intact. Wow, so glad I found him! He's calm, super friendly and conservative with your teeth--meaning he doesn't create fake dental problems to make money (a huge, common problem I've encountered with multiple dentists since we have a pay for performance health care system). I'd gone to another dentist who told me that I had 9 cavities, 3 of which would need at least crowns and 2 of those would probably be root canals. Skeptical, I scheduled a consultation with Dr. Rothkopf who told me I have...1 cavity. None of the rest is necessary. What a relief to find someone who isn't drilling away my good teeth to make more money. I had something very similar happen when I lived elsewhere and am so relieved to have an ethical dentist I trust now. Be careful, folks, some dentists just want to make more money and will invent problems to make their boat payment.The staff is super friendly and amusing--I'll let you see for yourself. I called and got an appointment really quickly. All around great. More

I am 28 years old and have had 3 root canals and a dental implant, in addition to a mouthful of fillings. I'm also undergoing orthodontic treatment for the second time. Needless to say, after all of this nonsense I'm a bit of a dental hypochondriac. I began seeing Dr. Rothkopf after a coworker referred me to him (I had a horrible experience with my previous dentist), and he's been extremely patient with my dental hypochondria and takes plenty of time to explain, in a non-condescending way, why my fears are unfounded and why my teeth are actually healthy. Several other reviewers have noted that Dr. Rothkopf is not a crook, and I'd like to echo this sentiment. Every single dentist I've ever visited in my life has JUMPED on the opportunity to do excessive work on my teeth given my disposition to drill/fill/attack any and all cavities to prevent further decay. Dr. Rothkopf is very honest and does not do any unnecessary dentistry even though he could honestly make a huge fortune off of me due to my paranoia!The receptionist is very polite and will always try to work you into his schedule. Also, he does very early appointments too (like, 7:30AM), which is great for folks with very busy schedules.
