MEET DR. CHANG

Dr. Woo Young Chang has been seeing patients throughout Washington, D.C. for many years and has garnered a warm, trusting reputation within the community. At CK Dental & Associates, he specializes in different areas of oral care, namely prosthodontics, restorative dentistry, reconstructive dentistry, and cosmetic dentistry. His caring and gentle approach to dental care allows him to seamlessly improve the health and natural beauty of his patients’ smiles.

SPECIALTIES & EXPERTISE

While Dr. Chang is experienced in many areas of dental care (preventive, cosmetic, restorative, etc.), his true passion lies in the art and science of prosthodontics. Prosthodontics is the field of dentistry that utilizes restorative procedures (such as dental crowns, bridges, and implants) to transform an unhealthy mouth into a gorgeous smile. Prosthodontics focuses on the diagnoses, management, and treatment of different oral conditions to improve oral function and beauty.

CERTIFICATIONS & PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIPS

Dr. Chang earned his bachelor's degree from Vanderbilt University and went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from Boston University. He also received special training in prosthodontics and holds a master's from Columbia University. He is a certified Invisalign treatment provider and a member of the following professional organizations:

  • American College of Prosthodontics (ACP)
  • American Dental Association (ADA)
  • International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI)
  • District of Columbia Dental Society (DCDS)

As his career has flourished, Dr. Chang has maintained his commitment to post-doctoral education and makes it a point to stay on top of the latest developments in the dental care industry. He has participated in many continuing education seminars and programs to further hone is skills, and even pick up new ones.

PERSONAL

Dr. Chang was born and raised in South Korea. From an early age, he had a keen interest in experiencing different cultures, which inspired him to attend high school in Pebble Beach, CA. When he's not working with patients in the office, Dr. Chang enjoys listening to music, playing tennis and golf, and spending time with his wife, Dr. Kye.
